Giá dầu tăng hơn 1 USD/thùng vào ngày thứ Sáu (13/01), ghi nhận tuần tăng mạnh nhất kể từ tháng 10/2022, khi đồng USD giảm xuống mức thấp nhất trong 7 tháng và nhiều chỉ báo cho thấy nhu cầu ngày càng tăng từ quốc gia nhập khẩu dầu hàng đầu Trung Quốc.

Kết thúc phiên giao dịch ngày thứ Sáu, hợp đồng dầu Brent tiến 1.25 USD (tương đương 1.5%) lên 85.28 USD/thùng. Hợp đồng dầu WTI cộng 1.47 USD (tương đương 1.9%) lên 79.86 USD/thùng, leo dốc 7 phiên liên tiếp.

Dầu Brent vọt 8.6% trong tuần này, còn dầu WTI tăng 8.4%, phục hồi từ tuần sụt giảm trước đó.

Chỉ số đồng USD lùi xuống mức thấp nhất trong hơn 7 tháng, một ngày sau khi dữ liệu cho thấy lạm phát giảm trong tháng 12/2022 lần đầu tiên trong 2 năm rưỡi, làm dấy lên hy vọng Cục Dự trữ Liên bang Mỹ (Fed) sẽ giảm tốc độ nâng lãi suất.

Đồng USD suy yếu có xu hướng thúc đẩy nhu cầu dầu, làm hàng hoá này trở nên ít đắt đỏ hơn đối với người mua nắm giữ những đồng tiền khác.

Các giao dịch mua dầu thô gần đây của Trung Quốc và sự gia tăng lưu lượng giao thông đường bộ ở nước này cũng đang thúc đẩy hy vọng nhu cầu phục hồi ở nền kinh tế lớn thứ 2 thế giới sau khi mở cửa trở lại biên giới và nới lỏng các biện pháp kiểm soát COVID-19 sau các cuộc biểu tình hồi năm ngoái.

Chuyên gia phân tích UBS Giovanni Staunovo nhận định: “Mọi người đang xem xét các chỉ số về di chuyển của Trung Quốc và chúng đang tăng, cho thấy nhu cầu dầu phục hồi và hỗ trợ giá dầu”.

“Điều tiếp theo cần theo dõi là liệu điều này có dẫn đến nhập khẩu dầu thô của Trung Quốc cao hơn hay không và liệu các cơ quan năng lượng (Cơ quan Năng lượng Quốc tế (IEA), Tổ chức Các nước Xuất khẩu Dầu mỏ (OPEC)) có điều chỉnh tăng dự báo về nhu cầu trong quý đầu tiên của mình hay không”, ông Staunovo cho biết.

OPEC và các đồng minh, bao gồm Nga, sẽ nhóm họp vào tháng 02/2023 để đánh giá các điều kiện thị trường và có một số lo ngại rằng nhóm này có thể cắt giảm sản lượng lần nữa để nâng giá dầu sau đợt suy giảm gần đây.

OPEC+ đã thông báo cắt giảm sản lượng 2 triệu thùng/ngày trong tháng 10/2022 khi giá dầu toàn cầu giảm dưới 90 USD/thùng.
