Giá vàng nới rộng đà tăng lên mức cao nhất trong gần 3 tháng vào ngày thứ Sáu (11/11), khi các dấu hiệu lạm phát tại Mỹ hạ nhiệt củng cố dự báo rằng Cục Dự trữ Liên bang Mỹ (Fed) sẽ bớt “diều hâu” hơn trong việc nâng lãi suất trong tương lai.

Kết thúc phiên giao dịch ngày thứ Sáu, hợp đồng vàng giao ngay tiến 0.6% lên 1,765.26 USD/oz, sau khi chạm mức cao nhất kể từ ngày 18/8/2022 vào đầu phiên. Hợp đồng vàng đã vọt 5% từ đầu tuần này đến nay.

Hợp đồng vàng tương lai cộng 0.9% lên 1,769.60 USD/oz.

Bob Haberkorn, Chiến lược gia thị trường cấp cao tại RJO Futures, nhận định: “Chúng tôi đang theo dõi giá vàng sau dữ liệu CPI ngày hôm qua, đồng USD suy yếu và khả năng Fed sẽ thục hiện nâng lãi suất thêm 50 điểm cơ bản hơn là nâng 75 điểm cơ bản”

Giá tiêu dùng CPI tại Mỹ tăng thấp hơn so với dự báo trong tháng 10 và dữ liệu cho thấy lạm phát hàng năm dưới 8% lần đầu tiên trong 8 tháng.

Dữ liệu lạm phát đã khiến đồng USD giảm mạnh, ghi nhận 2 phiên liên tiếp giảm mạnh nhất trong gần 14 năm, qua đó làm vàng trở nên hấp dẫn hơn đối với người nắm giữ những đồng tiền khác.

Thị trường hiện đang định giá khả năng 71.5% Fed sẽ nâng lãi suất thêm 50 điểm cơ bản tại cuộc họp tháng 12, tăng so với dự báo 50/50 cách đây 1 tuần.

Vàng đang giao dịch trên mức trung bình động 50 phiên và 100 phiên, được các nhà đầu tư xem là một tín hiệu tăng giá.
