Chứng khoán Mỹ tiếp tục tăng điểm vào ngày thứ Sáu (13/1) khi nhà đầu tư tiếp nhận kết quả kinh doanh của các ngân hàng và dự báo rằng lạm phát sẽ giảm vào năm 2023.

Kết phiên, Dow Jones tăng 112,64 điểm (tương đương 0,33%) lên 34.302,61 điểm; S&P 500 tăng 0,4% lên 3.999,09 điểm; Nasdaq tăng 0,71% lên 11.079,16 điểm.

S&P 500 và Nasdaq đều tăng 2 tuần liên tiếp. Kết tuần, Nasdaq tăng 4,82%, S&P 500 tăng 2,67% và Dow Jones tăng 2%.

Đồng USD tiếp tục giảm

Đầu phiên giao dịch ngày 14/1 (theo giờ Việt Nam), trên thị trường Mỹ, chỉ số US Dollar Index (DXY) đo lường biến động đồng bạc xanh với 6 đồng tiền chủ chốt (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF) giảm 0,07%, xuống mốc 102,18.

Đồng USD đã giảm chạm mức thấp nhất kể từ ngày 6/6 trong phiên giao dịch vừa qua, sau khi dữ liệu mới công bố cho thấy lạm phát của Mỹ đã hạ nhiệt, củng cố kỳ vọng Cục Dự trữ Liên bang Mỹ (Fed) sẽ giảm tốc độ tăng lãi suất.

Giá vàng thế giới lập đỉnh 9 tháng

Giá vàng tăng lên mức cao nhất trong hơn 9 tháng khi lạm phát Mỹ hạ nhiệt làm dấy lên hy vọng Cục Dự trữ Liên bang Mỹ (Fed) sẽ giảm tốc độ nâng lãi suất.

Kết phiên giao dịch, hợp đồng vàng giao ngay tăng 1,3% lên 1.920,7 USD/oz - mức cao nhất kể từ cuối tháng 4/2022; hợp đồng này đã tăng 2.9% trong tuần qua; hợp đồng vàng tương lai tăng 1,2% lên 1.921,7 USD/oz.

Dữ liệu vào ngày 12/1 cho thấy chỉ số giá tiêu dùng CPI tháng 12/2022 tại Mỹ đã giảm lần đầu tiên trong hơn 2 năm rưỡi.

Giá dầu có tuần tăng mạnh nhất sau hơn 3 tháng

Giá dầu tăng hơn 1 USD/thùng - ghi nhận tuần tăng mạnh nhất kể từ tháng 10/2022 khi đồng USD giảm xuống mức thấp nhất trong 7 tháng và nhiều chỉ báo cho thấy nhu cầu ngày càng tăng từ quốc gia nhập khẩu dầu hàng đầu Trung Quốc.

Kết phiên, hợp đồng dầu Brent tiến 1,25 USD (tương đương 1,5%) lên 85,28 USD/thùng; hợp đồng dầu WTI tăng 1,47 USD (tương đương 1,9%) lên 79,86 USD/thùng - tăng 7 phiên liên tiếp.

Tình chung cả tuần, dầu Brent tăng 8,6% và dầu WTI tăng 8,4% sau tuần giảm trước đó.
