BOE Technology Group, nhà sản xuất màn hình lớn nhất Trung Quốc, đang có ý định sẽ triển khai xây dựng nhà máy mới tại Việt Nam.

Theo Reuters, nhà sản xuất BOE Technology Group, đơn vị cung cấp màn hình cho cả Apple và Samsung, đang có kế hoạch xây dựng hai nhà máy có tổng vốn đầu tư lên tới 400 triệu USD tại Việt Nam.

Kế hoạch trên cho thấy nỗ lực của các hãng công nghệ, tiên phong bởi Apple và Foxconn, trong việc giảm phụ thuộc vào chuỗi cung ứng tại Trung Quốc.

BOE đang đàm phán thuê hàng chục hecta đất tại miền Bắc. Trước đó, nhà sản xuất đến từ Trung Quốc đã có một nhà máy nhỏ ở miền Nam. Nhiệm vụ chính của cơ sở này là sản xuất màn hình ti vi cho Samsung và LG Electronics.

BOE dự kiến thuê tới 100 hecta và sử dụng 20% diện tích khu đất cho nhà máy sản xuất với hệ thống điều khiển từ xa có tổng chi phí lên tới 150 triệu USD.

250 triệu USD tiếp theo sẽ được doanh nghiệp này dùng để xây dựng nhà máy sản xuất màn hình trên nền đất rộng 50 hecta. Khu đất rộng 30 hecta còn lại sẽ được đơn vị lên kế hoạch sử dụng từ nay cho đến năm 2025.

Tại dự án mới này, BOE có kế hoạch sản xuất màn hình OLED thay vì LCD. Đây cũng là công nghệ màn hình được Apple áp dụng cho các sản phẩm iPhone mới.

Theo nhà phân tích Kuo Ming-chi tại TF International Securities, BOE Technology Group sẽ trở thành nhà cung cấp màn hình lớn nhất cho thiết bị iPhone của Apple vào năm 2024.
